ABOUT 10ARTS808 

10arts808 is a Hiphop Artist/Producer/Beatmaker/Songwriter/Arranger and Mixing Engineer  based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe  who enjoys bringing musical ideas into life. His musical journey started at Inkanyezi Primary School when he and fellow, Brett Rammz used to own a rhyme book which they could interchangeably use to write down their sketchy concepts. This passion for music was later on revived and refined in 2012 when he was now in high school through meeting friends Blaq Diamond and Mcwaitter, eventually leading to the formation of a rap-group called K.I.T, which was an acronym for their government names. In 2013, 10arts808(who was by then running by the name Tanny, stylized as 10ny) was introduced to rapper Bickiez by an uncle’s friend whom through doing a number of unrecorded songs together was introduced to Cliff Jeans and  Nommah, whom he had been previously working on a Young, Black and Gifted project with. YBG is  a 2013 compilation album featuring a number of artists from the City of Kings. 10arts managed to get on a track titled “So Good”,  which also featured Bickies, Macwaitter and Cal_Vin. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered at Volte Face Records, Bulawayo by Cal_Vin, thus marking 10arts808’s first feature on a recorded song. The following year he  Teamed up with fellow members of K.I.T, rebranded to TJC (#TeamJesusChrist) and did a number of singles, namely “Mi’nah Fear”,  “Never Give up” and their debut album “Marionette” , which was never released due to other commitments. Following a 2 year gap of not doing music, in 2017, 10arts808 started pursuing music production and from then he has worked with a number of Bulawayo Artists such as  Q-Mace, Reeko, Cliff Jeans, Fab G, Tash.C, Lee Thandos and Red Monkey Nation just to name a few. He is a producer who believes that the process of creating music should be an honest, inspiring, and most importantly, fun experience. He draws much of his inspiration from other local producers such as Take 5, P2DAO, Oskid, Simba Tagz and those from the international scene which include the prominent, Zaytoven and Soko.
